SBTech gets new Chief Operating Officer
In an exclusive interview conducted by the news magazine Gamling Insider, The New appointed Chief Operating Officer of the world's leading online betting agency, SBTech, Dave Hammond, talks about how his previous experience in the industry will be able to take the gaming company he now works for to new levels financially speaking.
In the exclusive interview, the new head of operations, Dave Hammond, tells Nye that SBTech has already had tremendous success with its innovative platform and strong corporate culture. His goal is to scale this up and magnify the results delivered to them and their collaborators.
The NYE COO, who previously worked for Paddy Power, further explains in the interview that the business model and the companies are completely different while the companies in the same industry are generally relatively similar. Flexibility is one of his strengths and he looks forward to taking on new challenges to take SBTech to new goals.
Chief Executive Officer at SBTech, Richard Carter, has said in another interview that Hammond has a proven track record in implementing growth strategies that will benefit the gaming company in order to grow in over 20 different regulated gaming markets in which they currently operate.
This Is What Dave Hammond has to say about online sports betting
When asked by gambling Insider how he views online sports betting in the coming years and whether anything should change, Nye said it would be naive to believe that by the end of 2023, current products and player behaviour would have changed significantly.
At the same time, Hammond points out that SBTech's diverse operations have collected vast amounts of data and allow their statistical data engineers to create AI - and ML-based projects that can transform and adapt their offerings for gaming customers.
Customer technology continues to evolve within the sports context and new data is constantly being collected which leads to better tailored product offerings allowing the bookmaker to continue to retain its current customers.
Last question for Dave Hammond is where he sees SBTech in five years in the dream scenario. His answer is simple: to be the primary B2B provider in the market by improving products, technology, marketing, and by being able to reach a larger share of former and new potential customers.
The gaming company has many major partners around Europe, including in New Zealand, so it remains to be seen how SBTech adapts after the new gaming law enters into force on January 1, 2019. Whatever happens, we're here to tell you about it.
